First time that I have ever tried to get a medical marijuana card and I'm so glad that I went through NuggMD.. It was very fast and everyone was so helpful, the doctor and staff were very nice and understood what I was going through. Quick and easy, and I was approved in less than 24 hours once I uploaded the right paperwork. I will definitely be recommending them to anyone I talk to who is looking to get their medical marijuana card.

NuggMD was the easiest online experience I've ever had. The process was quick, easy, and was processed just as quickly. The doctor I spoke with was super nice and gave clear direction on how to set everything up. And their customer service was quick - Their customer success director Freddy wants to make sure you're taken care of and will reach out directly to do so. So far everyone I've worked with and the whole experience has been great. Would recommend

What are the benefits of having a medical cannabis card?

Access for Patients Under 21

Patients 21 and over may choose to skip the medical marijuana card. But patients under 21 must get a recommendation to legally use cannabis.

Larger possession limits

Medical cannabis patients can possess and purchase up to 8oz of flower, compared to only 1oz of flower for recreational cannabis users!

Save on Sales Tax

While a recommendation letter alone will usually not give you a discount, but the MMIC will. The MMIC will save you sales tax (about 7% to 10% depending on your city) at any dispensary in CA.

Purchase any Products

Medical patients have access to exotic strains and higher-concentration edibles that aren’t available to recreational users.

Visit More Dispensaries

Many local cities allow medical cannabis, but not recreational. Having a medical card will grant you access to any Bureau of Cannabis Control licensed marijuana dispensary in your area.

Why get your MMJ card online with NuggMD?

In many cases, family doctors are unwilling to issue medical marijuana recommendations because they simply don’t understand the potential medical benefits of cannabis treatment. Most medical schools don’t even offer classes about the endocannabinoid system–the group of nerve receptors in our body that interact with THC, CBD and the other cannabinoids in cannabis. This is where services like NuggMD come in. NuggMD’s fully-licensed physicians, all registered with the California Medical Board, have taken the extra time to become educated about cannabis. They know which medical conditions it’s recommended for, and understand how it can help those conditions. So ask away during your consultation! These doctors are in the know.

Easy and Discreet

It’s a piece of cake to get a recommendation or medical marijuana renewal with NuggMD. Over 800,000 patients since 2015 have been approved by one of our doctors! Plus, patients love us because we value their privacy. From the statement on your credit card bill to the physical mailer you receive with your recommendation inside, none of our language or packaging mentions cannabis in any way!

Safe and Reliable

Our doctors are caring and friendly. They truly understand how cannabis is used and can explain it in simple language, and work with us because we provide a secure portal for them to speak with you. Your private information will always remain confidential and will never appear on a public database. Beware that many online services don’t always use secure HIPAA data storage protocols!

Affordable

You’ll never find a better deal on a medical marijuana card, online or offline. In California, recommendations are just $39. Beware of services advertising $20 medical cards, they won’t actually mail you your physical copy.

100% Legal

At NuggMD, you’ll talk to an actual licensed (and friendly) medical practitioner. Once you’re approved, your medical cannabis card and recommendation comes embossed with the seal that legal dispensaries require to confirm your patient status is authentic.
